Since Mother Mercy is my solo debut, this was the first time I was able to get out in the world with my book!
I did two events in April, the first one was in New York.

It was an incredible experience, starting with a train ride to New York. It was a long ride, but with great views of the countryside. Because the trip was over nineteen hours, I got a roomette so I was able to sleep most of the trip.
In New York, we got dinner and hung out the evening before the event. The next day was busy with running around, meeting people, and getting ready for the event. And of course we had to get some amazing food.
In Brooklyn we went to the Atlantic Avenue Barnes & Noble. The event started with a chat about Mother Mercy and what it was like writing the book, then we had a Q&A taking questions in the room as well as from members of the live stream audience (you can watch the live stream on the Inimitable Books YouTube channel, here). After we finished with the questions, I signed some books, and we headed to dinner at Minkado, a sushi restaurant across the street.
You can still pick up signed copies of Mother Mercy at the Atlantic Avenue Barnes & Noble so if you’re in the area be sure to stop by and save some time for a sushi across the street.
The second event was in Hixson, Tennessee at Rêve Coffee and Books. Where we sold out all the books available and I was even able to sign a few extras that people had preordered and brought in.

It was great seeing friends and meeting new people at both events and the community was so supportive! I look forward to all seeing you all in the real world and the exciting trips to come. Keep an eye on my website and social media for more info and keep an eye out for big book news coming soon!
